RAKSHABANDHAN with Sister Gita from Los Angeles 

Rakhi2018_poster finalRakshabandhan is celebrated annually in India as a ‘bond of love and protection’ between the soul and God. Join us for an evening of reflection and spiritual sharing as we experience the essence and beauty of the sacred festival.

This ancient celebration reminds us how powerful, pure and precious the bond is between each soul and the Supreme Soul— the Comforter of Hearts.

PEACE HALIFAX at the Central Library

Save the date now for Peace Halifax, a day-long festival offered as a gift to the people of Halifax.

Hosted by the Brahma Kumaris Meditation Centre, Peace Halifax is about rediscovering the magic and practical expression of peace and taking it home with you. Similar events are organized annually in England and the United States. This is the third year for the event in Canada!

DROP-IN MEDITATION MONDAYS: Every Monday evening

Join us every Monday night for 30 minutes of easy meditation, followed by an hour of , uplifting spiritual input! Music, exploration and conversation that will leave you filling focused, positive and ready for what life brings!

INTERMEDIATE RAJA YOGA (*prerequisite: INTRODUCTION TO MEDITATION)

WORLD MEDITATION HOUR

WMH_WebImage2World Meditation Hour began in 1978 when people from all over the world were invited to collectively meditate for one hour for world peace. Over the years this practice has become very popular and has spread to over 90 countries around the world, currently attracting nearly a million people.

Whether or not you know how to meditate, you are invited to join us on the third Sunday of each monthfrom 6:30 to 7:30 pm and spend 60 minutes of your time radiating peace, love and care to our world. Everyone is welcome, so bring your friends and family.

 

Open to all. No experience or registration required.

INTRODUCTION TO MEDITATION: Master Your State of Mind

This is a five-week introduction course to meditation for beginners. Raja Yoga is ‘yoga for the mind’. It helps to focus the energy of thinking in directions that create and sustain the experience of peace, love and happiness.

We will build on the foundation of your knowledge and experience with meditation by exploring a new ‘tool’ each week.

The course is meant to add variety and deepen your meditation practice. Instruction, discussion, experiential and music.

For maximum benefit please commit to all 4 weeks as one class builds upon the other. There are two sessions offered in the fall, please select the one that allows for your full participation.

The Inner Power course will focus on discovering, experiencing and refining the inner resources available to you. These practical tools empower and sustain the use of your intelligence and talents to benefit not only yourself but those in the world around you.
