KEEPING THE BALANCE: with special guest Denise Lawrence

Denise

Have you ever tried walking on a tightrope?

For some of us, life is like a thin rope on which to walk: balancing work and family responsibilities…being available for others but taking time for yourself…pleasing everyone without exhausting yourself.

This tightrope of life is where the mind must keep its balance, navigating the risks along the way without losing sight of what matters most: to be happy… no matter what!

Denise is the first western student of Raja Yoga Meditation. Fluent in Hindi and several languages, she acts as a bridge between the western intellect and deep spiritual concepts of the East.

After four decades of spiritual study and practice, she has acquired a profound understanding of the spiritual reality of being human, as well as a vast experience in teaching meditation.

Join us as we explore the spiritual secrets of balance.

Date: Thursday, May 24
Time: 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Location: Brahma Kumaris Halifax
1 Cedarbrae Lane

LIVING AS ART: Every Monday night

d4b615f55d623a7cc8e26f23c03a453a“Although we, as humans, have excelled in numerous forms of art…we are still seeking to learn the art of living.” Purity Magazine April 2016

Living becomes art when every thought, word and action is an expression of spirituafullness. Each Monday night during the winter we will explore one of 16 dimensions of living~ through the lens of spiritual fullness.

In astrological terms, sixteen celestial degrees refers to the moon when it is at its fullest. Seen from earth, the moon brightens the night sky as the sun illuminates its entire surface. The aim of Raja Yoga Meditation is to become full of virtues and positive energy.

Pure spiritual energy fills every aspect of the ‘being’ when the darkness of the soul is released. When the human soul is full, complete with all virtues, it shines like the full moon reflecting the light of the spiritual Sun (God) on its entire surface.

Some of the Arts include:

  • The art of revealing and concealing
  • The art of thinking
  • The art of communicating

Join us for one or for all. Drop in or commit yourself to the full series. Please rsvp by email at halifax@ca.brahmakumaris.org to let us know which dates you will be attending or register for each event via eventbrite to ensure we prepare materials for everyone.
