In honour of United Nations International Day of Peace

Situations in our world, our community, and even our own homes, can leave us feeling out of sorts. But three simple words can remind us of the power within each of us to hit the reset button whenever we choose.

#IAmPeace. Join us at Peace Halifax, a festival of ideas, music and fun set in an historic, beautiful space. Come experience the peace that’s inside of each one of us. Explore the day’s program and meet our hourly MindSet speakers.

Come enjoy a pause, an experience of reflection and rejuvenation,at Peace Halifax, a day-long festival offered  as a gift to the people of Halifax.

For those who love silence and for those who are a wee bit afraid of it – come for the experiment of three hours with yourself and discover what good company you can be. In silence the noise of the mind settles and I can begin to see beneath to the quiet space inside myself.

This guided three-hour session will give you time alone but with instructions and input. : meditation, reading, reflective exercises, a silent tea party, enjoying the company of others while in your inner world.

Try it. Enter in silence, leave in silence.

PEACE OF MIND: A brief introduction to Raja Yoga Meditation

Learning to enter into a natural state of calm on a daily basis helps us to think more deeply, feel greater empathy and live our values, improving our well-being.

In this mini workshop we will learn:

  • The history and purpose of the Brahma Kumaris Worldwide Organization

  • A 4- step approach for entering and sustaining a raja yoga meditation practice
